Associate Professor of Park, Recreation and Tourism Studies

Dr. Eddie Hill, CPRP is an associate professor  the Park, Recreation and Tourism Studies Program in the Human Movement Sciences Department at Old Dominion University. He earned his Ph.D. from the University of Utah (2004) with a focus on Youth Development. His dissertation addressed the motivation for diabetes management among adolescents in a summer camp setting. Eddie is a Certified Park and Recreation Professional (CPRP).

 

Eddie Hill earned his B.S (1995) and M.S.Ed. (1998) both from Old Dominion University. His focus was on teaching students with learning and behavior disorders. Eddie taught in Norfolk Public Schools (NPS) for four years before moving to Utah to pursue his doctoral studies. In the NPS system, he incorporated adventure education as a technique to address some of the current needs of students in special education.
